PipLog 7 - Supermarket Sweep

I've killed a few people, and I don't know how to feel about it.
Let me start over. Saying it out loud is the only way I can keep things straight.
So Moira has me go check out this supermarket for her Wasteland Survival Guide, and I'm like, sure. Sounds easy enough. It wasn't too far from Megaton, closer to the ruins of D.C. I was able to plot a course with my PipBoy based on Moira's rambling directions.
It wasn't a pleasant walk through the radioactive wasteland, but it was quiet. Maybe too quiet. Half an hour of expecting something to jump out and eat me. I'd brought my pistol, but it didn't really feel like enough, even with my armored vault suit. I'm still not comfortable under the open sky, but at least Megaton had walls. Out here there's... nothing.
The market was on the outskirts of the city ruins.
Something about the city makes me nervous. Maybe it's all those windows. I didn't really ask about the wasteland when I was in Megaton... what's out there, what to look out for. Maybe I should have.
As I was circling around to the front of the building, I heard gunshots. Peering around the corner I saw a firefight between two groups of people... couldn't make out much from where I was watching, but it didn't last long.
What I did notice were the bodies. Someone had strung up dismembered corpses and hung them from light fixtures in the parking lot.
Inside was worse.
The interior was trashed. Smelled like the vault locker room during the sanitation strike of 2274, and more bodies had been hung up around the place. I could hear voices inside, and saw a few more people like those who'd been fighting outside - leather straps, chains, piercings, and stupid haircuts.
Of course. If this was a place of shelter - one with food and maybe meds - of course someone would be squatting inside. I hadn't realized it because I was still thinking like a vault dweller.
I knew they'd kill me if they saw me, but there were only a couple wastelanders hanging around, and if I was quick and quiet they wouldn't see me. I needed... needed... to find the food and meds to show Moria, to sell Moira, so I could afford Moriarty's fee. So I could find Dad.
I slipped over the counter into what looked like an office and found some homemade explosives and a fridge. Food inside.
I grabbed it... there was some nice stuff: Two packs of Dandy Boy Apples, two Salisbury Steak TV Dinners, and a roasted iguana skewered on a stick. Not bad, but not enough to get to Moriarty's 300 cap fee.
I remembered learning about Supermarkets in Conscientious Consumer class in the Vault. They had pharmacies in the back, and that's where I could find the meds that would get me the rest of the way. I just had to sneak past a few armed savages first.
Things went well.
At first.
I made it all the way to the other side of the market floor before being spotted. It got real bad, real fast, and I... I don't remember much. I got shot once or twice, and my PipBoy took some automatic and brutal photos.
Somehow, at the end of it, I was the only one standing. I killed three or four people and I barely remember it. It just... happened so fast.
The door to the pharmacy is locked, and none of the people I've killed has a key. There's a computer terminal hooked up to it that I think I can break into... it's the same basic computer architecture we used down in the vault, so I think I can figure it out.
